We were pulling out a kitchen recently, and under one of the cupboards we found a small pile of straw; nestled in the straw, within a foot of an empty sachet of rat poison was curled up the most perfectly preserved rat skeleton; I have taken some photos that will be published when I find them on my camera...

We fell like we have inherited this house, rather than having simply purchased it - the old lady from whom we bought the house has left a lot of her gear here; gardening stuff, tools, etc. We are finding uses for some things, other things are too disintegrated to be of any use and we have four large piles of assorted garbage to be towed away sometime soon...
